FISCAL NOTE

The proposed resolution amends the Water Utility’s adopted 2021 Capital budget by authorizing additional capital funds of $75,000 of Water Utility reserve funding to the capital budget.  The funds are necessary to add wheelchair access entrances to 6 doors at the Olin Avenue office building.  The Water Utility capitalizes all assets exceeding $5,000 with a useful life of one year or more in accordance with their capitalization policy.

BODY

WHEREAS, the Water Utility budgeted $467,000 in the capital budget for Water Utility Facility Improvements: and

WHEREAS, this did not include dollars to upgrade entrances for wheelchair access; and

WHEREAS, the need to upgrade entrances for wheelchair access is necessary for a newly hired employee; and

WHEREAS, the Water Utility has the dollars available in their reserve funds

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2021 Water Utility adopted capital budget is amended to include an additional $75,000 of reserve funding in the Water Utility Facility Improvements Program, MUNIS project 13048-86-140, to upgrade door entrances at the Olin Avenue building for wheelchair access.
