Ordering Property Owners to Install Sidewalk in the 17th Aldermanic District.

PREAMBLE
Sidewalk in recent years has been installed along Eagle Crest Drive from Commercial Avenue to Golden Leaf Trail except for those properties lying in the Town of Burke and 4 parcels within the City of Madison. 2 of those parcels in the City of Madison will have sidewalk installed under a separate project. The installation of the 2 remaining parcels will complete the pedestrian network along Eagle Crest Drive within the City of Madison.
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED that the property owners of the property hereinafter described be hereby ordered to install sidewalk or parts thereof, hereinafter described, in full compliance with the requirements of the City Ordinance governing such construction. Firm arrangements for such construction shall be made by the date specified on the Sidewalk Notice, and that if arrangements are not made by the aforesaid date, the City of Madison, will cause such sidewalk to be installed and charge the cost hereof to the property in front of which the walk is laid, and such cost, unless previously paid, will be collected as a special tax against the property in front of which the walks are installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for the said improvements.
