Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with Dane County and the Town of Burke for Portage Road and Hanson Road Resurfacing. (17th AD)

PREAMBLE:
This project will be coordinated with the Hanson Road bridge overpass of Interstates 39-90-94. The resurfacing work is proposed to follow the bridge construction and approaches. Bike lanes will be added along Portage and Hanson Roads. The costs associated with the work on Portage road is proposed to be split on a 50-50 basis with the Town of Burke, and the costs associated with the work on Hanson Road is proposed to be paid by the City of Madison.
BE IT RESOLVED,
1) That the plans and specifications for Portage Road and Hanson Road Resurfacing, be and are hereby approved.
2) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Town of Burke for
cost sharing for the resurfacing of Portage Road.
3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Dane County for the resurfacing of Portage Road and Hanson Road.
4) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
