Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plan documents and authorizes reciept of bids for the annual sidewalk sawcutting and incidental repair work at a total estimated cost of $185,000 in 2019 for aldermanic districts 1,7, and 9. Funding is provided by GO Borrowing authorized in the Engineering-Ped/Bike adopted 2019 capital budget via the Sidewalk Program.

[PREAMBLE

The sawcutting program provides for the horizontal sawcutting of trip hazards in Districts 1, 7, and 9 and throughout the City to comply with ADA guidelines.  The sawcuts are funded solely by the City.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for Annual Horizontal Sawcutting of Concrete Sidewalk and Incidental Work (Districts 1, 7, and 9) - 2019 be and are hereby approved:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise for and receive bids for the required public works contracts.
