Fiscal Note
This resolution would authorize the exchange of maintenance services for priority scheduling at certain soccer fields in Madison parks. No appropriation is required. There is no anticipated impact upon cost controls or the tax levy.
Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign and execute a seven (7) month Agreement, with the option for three one year renewal periods, for priority scheduling at specified Madison area soccer fields in exchange for the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association ("MAYSA") providing maintenance to such fields.
Body
WHEREAS, the City has recognized and supported the value of organized youth recreational opportunities for children Madison; and
WHEREAS, the City and MAYSA have had a long, cooperative and satisfying relationship in providing age and ability appropriate soccer fields to Madison area youth; and
WHEREAS, MAYSA has been responsible for maintaining some of the Parks Division fields in exchange for priority scheduling on those fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association be allowed to obtain priority scheduling at specific Parks Division soccer fields in exchange for MAYSA providing maintenance to those fields; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement between the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association and the City of Madison for a Soccer Field Use and Maintenance Agreement for an initial seven (7) month term with the option for three (3) one (1) year renewal terms.
