To suspend the Class B Combination alcohol beverage license granted to Jongyean Lee, dba Church Key, Jongyean Lee, agent, 626 University Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin, for three (3) days.
Body
WHEREAS, on or about June 12, 2007, a complaint was filed by Assistant City Attorney Jennifer Zilavy of the Madison City Attorney's Office alleging nine (9) counts of PERMIT UNDERAGE PERSON ON LICENSED PREMISE, in violation of Sec. 38.04(3)(b) of the Madison General Ordinances; five (5) counts of SELLING ALCOHOL BEVERAGES TO UNDERAGE PERSON, in violation of Sec. 38.04(1)(a)2 of the Madison General Ordinances, at the premises known as Church Key, 626 University Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sec. 38.10 of the Madison General Ordinances, Assistant City Attorney Jennifer Zilavy and Attorney Rick Petri on behalf of Church Key, entered into a stipulation regarding disposition of this case and agreeing that Church Key would have its Class B Combination alcohol beverage license suspended for a period of three (3) days; and
WHEREAS, Church Key was assessed a forfeiture in the accompanying municipal court action in the amount of five thousand sixty nine dollars ($5,069.00); and
WHEREAS, the parties agreed that Church Key employees would confiscate all false ID cards presented for entry into the establishment and present such confiscated ID cards to a member of the Madison Police Department's Central District Community Policing Team on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, the parties agreed that Church Key would utilize an ID scanner at all times the Church Key is open to assist in the identification of false ID's submitted for entrance into the establishment; and
WHEREAS, the parties have agreed that Church Key may not be open to the public for any purpose during the period of suspension and may not in any way utilize its Class B Combination alcohol beverage license during the term of suspension, and
