Public Health Madison and Dane County (Public Health) proposes the acceptance of additional funding from the University of Wisconsin- Madison to support HIV outreach efforts within the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Program.
These funds support the contracted position, HIV Outreach Specialist’s salary, benefits, and supplies needed to continue reaching hard to reach populations in Dane County. The HIV Outreach Specialist conducts HIV testing at various locations around Dane County as well as education on HIV, HIV Prevention and Intervention options for people that are living with HIV.
The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County previously approved Resolution #2023-36 authorizing the acceptance of $95,733 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison for Ryan White Sub-Recipient Part C Grant. PHMDC received an additional $1,871.20 from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, increasing the total funding amount to $97,604.20 for 2024-2025.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to accept and expend the funding, sign the related agreement, and amend the 2024 Public Health Budget by $1,871.20.
