Fiscal Note

The estimated annual cost for the new position is approximately $55,000 for wage expense, plus $19,850 for fringe benefts, or a total expense of about $74,850. The Parking Utility 2015 adopted operating budget will be amendment to utilize Parking Utility reserves to pay for the additional expense.  There is no direct impact on the tax levy.

Body

WHEREAS, the Parking Utility, in conjunction with the City Human Resources Department, has determined that an addtional staff position of Engineering Program Specialist 1 (CG 16, R17) is required for more effective operations.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 2015 adopted Operating Budget is amended to create and fund (using Parking Utility reserves)  a new 1.0 FTE position of Engineering Program Specialist 1 (CG16, R17) in the permanent salary detail of the Parking Utility budget.
