The total project cost is estimated to be $800,000.

This resolution would authorize a $725,000 increase in the 2007 Storm Water Utility Capital Budget to fund the storm sewer portion of this project. This will be funded through a transfer of budget authority and available funds from Shorelines of $725,000.

The Sanitary Sewer portion of this project ($75,000) is available in ES01-58275-810332-00-53W0415

Body
WHEREAS, the area surrounding the intersection of Lafollette Ave. and Waubesa Street has experienced localized flooding during small rain events (less than the one (1) year event) since the area was primarily developed; and

WHEREAS, the City is supporting the creation of the Atwood Community Center in this immediate area; and

WHEREAS, the Community Center cannot be approved or acceptably designed with the currently anticipated flooding; and

WHEREAS, a new storm sewer serving the area is the most cost effective manner of resolving the flooding issues;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

1) That the plans and specifications for Waubesa/St. Paul Relief Storm Sewer, be and are hereby approved.

2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

4) That the 2007 Storm Water Utility Capital Budget is hereby amended as follows:
