PREAMBLE

 

Cottage Grove Road between Monona Drive and Claire Street will be reconstructed in 2016.  City Engineering and Traffic Engineering are proposing to install a diagonal bike crossing at the signalized intersection (see attached diagram).  The diagonal crossing will provide bicyclists with a one stage crossing of the signalized intersection.  Dempsey Road will also include a northbound on-street bike lane. 

 

Construction and funding will be included with project 10250, Cottage Grove Road and Dempsey Road Street Assessment District-2016, File ID 40938.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for the intersection of Cottage Grove Road/Dempsey Road and Dempsey Road between Cottage Grove Road and the Capital City Path, is hereby approved.
