The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to the existing contract for engineering services for the total amount of $103,740.00. The new contract as amended will total $471,140.00.
Authorized funding for $103,740.00 is available in the adopted 2019 capital budget which provides for $7,570,000 in GO Borrowing and Stormwater Utility reserves for the Citywide Flood Mitigation program (MUNIS 11513)

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison Engineering Division is proposing to conduct watershed and flood studies for the west and near west sides as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. for engineering services (RES-19-00207). The City Engineer requested additional engineering services and recommend that they be undertaken by Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. for the Spring Harbor Watershed Study as defined below:
1. Coordinate with the USGS to troubleshoot the Spring Harbor USGS gauge
2. Convert model to XP-SWMM
3. Additional analysis for peak flow control solutions
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and Amendment No. 2 to the contract between the City of Madison and Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. for additional design services for Spring Harbor Watershed Study.
