Public Health Madison & Dane County (Public Health) proposes the acceptance of an additional $240.00 from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention.
The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County previously approved Resolution #85889 authorizing the acceptance of $26,800 from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention. Public Health received an additional $240.00 from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, increasing the total amount to $27,040.00.
The purpose of this grant is to support communicable disease prevention and control including disease surveillance, contact tracing, staff development and training, and other infection control measures. The funds will be used to support part of the salary and benefits for a public health nurse working on communicable disease follow-up.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison & Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and amend the 2025 Public Health Budget by $240.00.
