Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 3 to the contract between Madison and Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. for additional design engineering services for CTH M/Valley View Road Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S. (9th AD)

PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to construct a new street between the intersection of CTH M and Valley View Road and the intersection of existing Pleasant View Road and Mineral Point Road (CTH S). Design will be funded with 100% local funds and that portion of the project near the intersection of Valley View Road and CTH M will be funded with 80% federal funds, 20% local funds. Construction of the new street north to Mineral Point Road (CTH S) will be funded with 100% local funds. The City Engineer has entered into a design engineering contract with Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc.
The City Engineer recommends that several additional design services be undertaken by Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. They are:
1. Revise geometrics of Pleasant View/Valley View/CTH M roundabout and finalize design
2. Revise environmental assessment regarding changes in Pleasant View/Valley View/CTH M roundabout
3. Revise environmental assessment of southbound lanes on Pleasant View Rd.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 to the contract between Madison and Owen Ayres & Associates, Inc. for additional design engineering services for CTH M/Valley View Road Intersection and Pleasant View Road from Prairie Hill Road to CTH S.
