SUBSTITUTE Authorizing the execution of an Utility Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company for underground electrical service to serve a new Traffic Engineering Parks Division storage facility at 15 Van Deusen Street.
Body
WHEREAS, The City Traffic Engineering Parks Division has is constructed ing a new storage maintenance facility, to serve the adjacent Traffic Engineering facility, Goodman Park Ice Rink at 15 Van Deusen Street; and
 
WHEREAS, as part of the new storage maintenance facility construction, the City has asked Madison Gas and Electric ("MG&E") to provide underground electric service to said facility across the parcel located at 15 Van Deusen Street aka Goodman Park; and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E has therefore requested a ten (10) foot wide utility easement ("Easement") across a portion of said parcel Goodman Park to serve the new storage maintenance facility; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Parks Division and Traffic Engineering Division have has reviewed and approve of the Easement, at no cost to MG&E.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Utility Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the SW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 25, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of strip being more particularly described as follows:
 
 
The right-of-way shall be located 5 feet on the right side and 5 feet on the left side of the centerline of Grantee's facilities as constructed.  The facilities will be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and dated February 19, 2009.
 
The area of the Easement is depicted on attached Exhibit A.
