Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract for up to $63,468 with Mary Berryman Agard and Associates for the creation of a Madison Cultural Plan.
Body
WHEREAS, in July of 2008 the Common Council (File ID 10543, RES-08-00751) authorized the Madison Arts Commission to issue a request for proposals for the purpose of enlisting the services of a cultural planning consultant to assist the Madison Arts Commission in developing a Cultural Plan for the City of Madison; and
WHEREAS, the RFP was issued on November 7, 2008 and eleven consultants and consultant teams responded; and
WHEREAS, the selection process involved a review committee comprised of staff from the Department of Planning and Community and Economic Development and representatives from the Madison Arts Commission; and
WHEREAS, the review committee selected and interviewed four finalists; and
WHEREAS, the review committee gave Mary Berryman Agard and Associates the highest score based on the selection criteria.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract for up to $63,468 for the creation of a Madison Cultural Plan with Consultant Mary Berryman Agard and Associates.
