Community Development Authority Report on Certification of 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan.

RE: REPORT ON CERTIFICATION OF 800 BLOCK EAST WASHINGTON AVENUE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
The Community Development Authority of the City of Madison, Wisconsin (the "Authority") is authorized by Section 66.1333 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as amended (the "Redevelopment Act") to prepare and approve redevelopment plans.
In Resolution No. 2654 adopted on May 12, 2005, the Authority approved the 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Plan") in respect of a redevelopment area known as the 800 Block East Washington Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") whose boundaries were designated in Resolution No. 2654.
The Common Council of the City of Madison (the "Common Council") declared the Redevelopment Area to be blighted within the meaning of the Redevelopment Act and approved the Redevelopment Plan in Enactment No. Res-05-0576, ID No. 01217, adopted by a two-thirds vote on June 21, 2005.
Pursuant to Section (6) of the Redevelopment Act, the Authority may certify the Redevelopment Plan to the Common Council at any time after approval of the Redevelopment Plan by the Authority and the Common Council.
The Authority authorized the Executive Director to issue a report certifying the 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan to the Common Council
The CDA recommends the acceptance of the Report and adoption of its recommendations.
