Commending Pamela J. Williamson on her retirement from the City of Madison after 39+ years of dedicated service.
Body
WHEREAS,       Pam Williamson has served the City of Madison for over 39 years, serving in the City Clerk's Office for 21 years and the Mayor's Office thereafter for 18 years; and
 
WHEREAS,       during that time, Pam has never been known to be without a smile on her face; and
 
WHEREAS,       Pam has administered all of the City's committee appointments to 52 standing City committees, 32 ad hoc and subcommittees and 18 non-City committees; and
 
WHEREAS,      these appointments total approximately 1,000 positions on City and non-City bodies; and
 
WHEREAS,       Pam has administered thousands and thousands of appointments throughout her exceptional service to the City of Madison; and
 
WHEREAS,       Pam has been a valuable resource to the Mayor's Office, Common Council members, committee staff, over 600 City committee members and 212 candidates for committees; and
 
WHEREAS,       Pam has prepared and would submit at least one committee report for every Council meeting; and
 
WHEREAS,       there was never a kinder person in City Government;
 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council thank Pamela J. Williamson for over 39 years of dedicated service to the City of Madison and wish her all the best in her retirement.
