Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to Execute a Contract with AVA Civic Enterprises, Inc. for Extended Project Director Services for the Judge Doyle Square Project
Body
Whereas, since 2011 George E. Austin has acted as the City's project director for the Judge Doyle Square Project through a series of contracts between the City and his company, AVA Civic Enterprises, Inc.; and
 
Whereas, on February 25, 20014 the City selected a developer for the Judge Doyle Square Project  and authorized the Staff Team led by Mr. Austin to enter into negotiations with the developer; and
 
Whereas, the current Purchase of Services Contract with AVA Civic Enterprises, Inc. expires effective April 30, 2014, and the City desires to extend the Contract for another year at a cost not to exceed $48,000 in order to provide for the negotiations with the developer and the performance of other project director functions.
 
Now therefore, be it resolved, that the City of Madison extends the Contract with AVA Civic Enterprises, Inc. for project director services until April 30, 2015, for a fee not to exceed $48,000.
 
Be it further resolved, that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute an amendment to the Contract with AVA Civic Enterprises, Inc., in a form to be approved by the City Attorney.
