The agreement provides $41,000 for 2009, with a Consumer Price Index adjustment for 2010, 2011 and the optional 3-year renewal period. Revenue from this contract is included in the Fire Department's Operating Budget.

Approval to reinstate, amend and extend the agreement with Dane County for Fire Department Level B Hazardous Materials response covering 2009-2011 with a three-year option renewal.
Body
The City approved Resolution ID 30834 to contract with Dane County for the Fire Department to provide Level B Hazardous Materials response. The County has requested to reinstate, amend and extend this agreement which expired on December 31, 2008. The new term of this agreement covers January 1, 2009-December 31, 2011. The agreement also contains a three year option to renew beginning January 1, 2011.
The level of funding in this agreement has not changed.
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Fire Department and the City wish to continue this agreement with Dane County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the agreement reinstate, amend and extend the agreement approved by Council Resolution- ID 30834
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute this agreement.
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract term is for January 1, 2009-December 31, 2011 with an option to renew for three years
