Fiscal Note
This agreement provides for the reimbursement by MATC for an estimated 225,000 annual fixed route rides during the contract period with provision for reimbursement of additional fixed route rides (if taken) as well as paratransit rides at rates consistent with TPC pass contract guidelines. The total amount billable by Metro for all fixed route and paratransit fares under the terms of the agreement shall not exceed $212,307. There would be no net fiscal impact on the City General Fund or the transit utility operation budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with Madison Area Technical College (MATC) for the provision of free access by MATC students to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for estimated student trips for the period August 22, 2005 through August 19, 2006.
Body
WHEREAS, MATC and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting arrangement for an unlimited ride pass program for MATC students for a number of years and both parties wish to extend their agreement for a one-year period;
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated a contract extension which meets all TPC criteria set in advance for unlimited ride pass agreements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with MATC for the purpose of providing an MATC unlimited ride pass program for the period August 22, 2005 through August 19, 2006, with a total contract amount not to exceed $212,307.
