Reduce funding to the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau by $73,475 (1/2 of the amount added by Board of Estimates Amendment No. 3). This would allow the GMCVB to add one marketing agent rather than two.
To optimize room tax growth in the future, the City should invest a minimum of 15% of the prior year's actual collections in destination marketing.
