Add 18.0 FTE Building Security Screener positions to staff weapons screening stations at the following City buildings:  Madison Municipal Building - 3 stations; Metro Transit - 2 stations; Engineering Emil Street - 1 station.  Screening at additional City facility locations would be added in future years. Add the following language to the police department budget: The Police Department shall prepare a plan for maintaining public and workplace safety in the event that Wisconsin legalizes concealed weapons. This contingency plan will include recommendations for securing all indoor workplaces of City employees and fiscal estimates for the capital and operating costs to secure such locations, as well as other recommendations for policing strategies to mitigate the threat to public safety of hidden and loaded weapons.
