Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to an existing contract for design services for the total amount of $15,755. The new contract as amended will total $432,567. Funding is provided in the 2020 Adopted Stormwater Utility Operating Budget to support Citywide Flood Mitigation (MUNIS 12121-84-200-84000). No additional appropriation is required.

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison Engineering Division is conducting watershed and flood studies for the west and near west sides as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Brown and Caldwell for engineering services (RES-19-00206). The City Engineer requested additional engineering services and recommend that they be undertaken by Brown and Caldwell for the West Wingra Watershed Study as defined below:
1. Conduct the Phase I Green Infrastructure Evaluate for the watershed to corroborate the results found in-house for the Pheasant Branch Watershed Study.
2. Summarize the solutions and present them to Engineering staff.
The City of Madison Engineering Division is also proposing to extend the term of the contract in Section 4 to December 31, 2021.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment 6 to the contract between the City of Madison and Brown and Caldwell for additional engineering services for West Wingra Watershed Study.
