Public Health Madison and Dane County (Public Health) proposes the acceptance of an additional $1,252 from WI Department of Health Services for Radon Regional Information Center.
The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County previously approved Resolution #2024-38 authorizing the acceptance of $10,413 from WI Department of Health Services for the Radon Regional Information Center. PHMDC received an additional $1,252 from WI Department of Health Services, increasing the total amount to $11,665.
These grant dollars pay for staff to maintain expertise in the areas of radon investigation and mitigation. This expertise is used to assist Dane County residents in becoming aware of the risks of radon exposure and effective methods for addressing this risk. These funds are also used to support public health colleagues in Green and Rock Counties and their efforts to do this work in these counties.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and amend the 2025 Public Health Budget by $1,252.
