The proposed resolution will increase the Parking Utility 2016 operating budget by $34,880. The increased appropriation will offset the purchase of one new vehicle that was initially planned as part of the 2015 budget. Funding for the increase will come from Parking Utility reserves.The increase appropriation will be applied to 82410-53410 (Agency: Parking Utility, Service: Parking Operations, Object: Machinery and Equipment) and 82410-48510 (Agency: Parking Utility, Service: Parking Operations, Object: Fund Balance Applied).

Amending the 2016 adopted Parking Utility Operating Budget to increase budget authority by $34,880.00 for the purchase of one vehicle scheduled for replacement in 2015.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parking Utility had included funding in the 2015 Operating Budget of $141,000 for the replacement of five vehicles and funds were not encumbered for the purchase of one of these five vehicles prior to 2015 year-end; and
WHEREAS, $34,880.00 in funding for the purchase of replacement vehicles lapsed at the expiration of 2015; and
WHEREAS, the 2016 Parking Utility operating budget does not include expenditure authority for the purchase of this replacement vehicle, as the purchase was anticipated to be completed in 2015;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Parking Utility 2016 Operating Budget is amended to provide additional expenditure authority of $34,880.00 for the replacement of one vehicle.
