The recreation of this commissioned position into a civilian position will result in savings in the Fire Department's 2013 budget due to the longevity and incentive pay of the current incumbent. The projected annualized additional cost, based on a comparison of base salaries without incentive pay, is $8,300, including fringe benefits.

Recreate the 1.0 FTE position #2191 of "Fire Inspector" (CG13-04), currently occupied by R. Riphon, as a 1.0 FTE position of "Management Information Specialist 3" (CG18-10) in the Fire Department budget upon the incumbent's retirement, expected to occur no later than August 6, 2013.

Riphon in Compensation Group 13, Range 04, in the permanent salary detail of the Fire Department budget, is deleted and recreated as a 1.0 FTE "Management Information Specialist 3" in Compensation Group 18, Range 10, upon the retirement of the incumbent, expected to occur no later than August 6, 2013, thereof.
