Title
THIRD SUBSTITUTE - Amending Section 33.22 of the Madison General Ordinances to modify the composition of the Public Safety Review Committee.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This substitute ordinance adds an additional alder and citizen member as a member of the Public Safety Review Committee. The Committee will then consist of nine (9) members and one alternate: the Mayor or designee, three (3) alders, five (5) citizens and one alternate. The effective date of this ordinance shall be November 1, 2009.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subsection (2) entitled “Membership” of Section 33.22 entitled “Public Safety Review Committee” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“(2) Membership. The Public Safety Review Committee shall consist of nine (9) members: the Mayor, or his/her designee, twothree (3) members of the Common Council, fourfive (5) citizen members, and one alternate citizen member who may participate in Board business as though a full member, but may vote only in the absence of one of the citizen members.
