Establishing a Glass-Free Zone for the West Mifflin Street area 8:00 a.m. on May 5, 2012 through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2012
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted Section 23.36 of the Madison General Ordinances to establish a Glass-Free Zone in a specified geographic area during a specified period of time;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Glass-Free Zone will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. on May 5, 2012 through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2012;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Glass-Free Zone will include 400, 500 and 600 Blocks of West Mifflin Street, the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bassett Street and the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bedford Street; and
WHEREAS, no person shall possess any glass container on city-owned property within the Glass-Free Zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby creates a Glass-Free Zone to be operative from 8:00 am. on May 5, 2012 through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2012 in the following geographic area: the 400, 500 and 600 Blocks of West Mifflin Street, the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bassett Street and the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bedford Street.
