No appropriation is required to enter into this agreement. The property owner will be responsible for all costs related to the connection of his property to the City’s sanitary sewer facilities, which are adjacent to the subject property. Under provisions of the Cooperative Plan, starting in 2017, the City will pay to the Town of Burke annually for five years the local property tax levy, estimated to be $323 annually. The payments will come from the General Fund Miscellaneous account and will be accommodated in future budgets.

WHEREAS Sections 8.C.1. and 12.C of the Town of Burke, Village of DeForest, City of Sun Prairie and City of Madison Cooperative Plan approved on May 4, 2007 pursuant to Wis. Stat. §66.0307 permit a property owner in the Town to request connection to City sewer and/or water services prior to the dissolution of the Town and final attachment of its remaining properties in 2036, provided the sewer and/or water services are reasonably available, the property to be served is in an Urban Service Area, the owner agrees to pay for extension of the sewer and/or water services over a five-year period with interest, and the owner agrees to attachment to City at the end of the five-year period; and,
WHEREAS, Joseph A. Schutz, the Owner of real property located at 4963 Bultman Road in the Town of Burke (hereinafter referred to as “the Property”), wishes to connect his existing single-family residence to City of Madison sanitary sewer facilities currently located across Bultman Road from his property; and,
