Fiscal Note
Costs associated with this double fill total approximately $4,375, including benefits, and will be accommodated by the management of Parking Division salary savings. There is no anticipated impact upon cost controls or the tax levy.
Title
To Authorize a double fill in the Program Assistant 2 position from December 27, 2005, to January 27, 2006.
Body
WHEREAS, the incumbent Program Assistant 2 is to be paid through January 27, 2006, and the replacement Program Assistant 2 will be hired effective December 27, 2005, in order to facilitate an orderly transition of information and responsibility; and
WHEREAS, MGO 3.56(6)(h) states: "The Human Resources Director, with the approval of the Mayor, and of the Common Council if the action requires the expenditure of more than $2,000 and/or is for longer than 30 days, is authorized to double-fill any position for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days unless such period is extended by action of the Common Council."
WHEREAS, the double fill of the Program Assistant 2 requires the expenditure of more than $2,000; and
WHEREAS, funding for these expenditures is available in the Parking Division 2006 Operating Budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the double filling of the Program Assistant 2 position is approved for the period of December 27, 2005, through January 27, 2006.
