Informational Presentation from Olbrich Botanical Society Regarding Recently Adopted Interpretive Plan

The Interpretive Plan for Olbrich Botanical Gardens was developed in conjunction with the Comprehensive Master Plan for Olbrich Botanical Gardens, which was adopted by the Board of Park Commissioners on July 8, 2026. The Interpretive Plan was fully funded and led by Olbrich Botanical Society. Feedback from public participants, key stakeholders and staff was sought throughout the planning process and incorporated into the final plan. The interpretive plan is a strategic, foundational document to guide Olbrich Botanical Gardens on how to connect guests with the gardens in a more informed manner. Interpretive Plan for Olbrich Botanical Gardens was adopted by Olbrich Botanical Society on June 16, 2026 and outlines how to connect guests with the gardens through storytelling and key messaging. The plan defines target audiences, outlines core messages, suggests signage placement, and provides style templates for signs. The plan will be implemented over the next few years as funding is available.
