Report of the Mayor submitting the balance of the citizen appointments to the Ad Hoc Task Force on Allied Strategies.

Body

I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the remaining appointments to this task force for introduction and adoption under suspension of the rules.  "Statement of Interests" forms are on file for all appointees.

 

AD HOC TASK FORCE ON ALLIED STRATEGIES

 

Allied Community Resident:

 

EVELYN D. BURNS, 4536 Britta Pkwy. 53711-3838 (10th A.D.) - Ms. Burns is a long-time member of the Madison community and currently resides in Allied Drive.

 

Allied Area Property Owner:

 

HENRY M. STANLEY, 2513 Scenic Ridge Drive, 53719 (7th A.D.) - Mr. Stanley is an accountant for the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services.  He has owned and managed properties in the Allied area for several years.

 

Fitchburg Mayor Designee:

 

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

 

Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, " … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … ."

 

*MICHAEL T. ZIMMERMAN, 2990 Cahill Main #16, Fitchburg - Mr. Zimmerman is Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Fitchburg.  He has been involved with the redevelopment and planning projects in the Allied/Belmar area.

 

Verona School District Superintendent Designee:

 

CHRISTINA M. MAND, 7873 Wood Reed Dr., 53719 (1st A.D.) - Ms. Mand is a school social worker in the Verona Area School District.
