Title
Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Strand Associates Inc. for site planning, building design, and preparation of plans and specifications for Unit Well 30 to include construction administration services.
Body
Whereas Madison Water Utility has retained Strand Associates Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin, to design the Utility's Unit Well 30; and
Whereas Madison Water Utility has received bids through the Board of Public Works for the construction of the project and has recommended the award of the contract to Miron Construction, Inc. and the Madison Common Council has approved this contract award;
and Whereas Madison Water Utility wishes to effectively and efficiently manage the construction of Unit Well 30; and
Whereas a revised scope of services and additional fee has been negotiated with Strand Associates Inc.
Now therefore be it resolved that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Strand Associates, Inc. not to exceed $148,000 for construction administrative services.
