Authorizing the execution of an Underground Utility Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the East District Police Station located at 809 S. Thompson Drive. 3rd Ald. Dist.
Body
WHEREAS, The City of Madison Police Department has recently constructed the new East District Police Station at 809 S. Thompson Drive; and
 
WHEREAS, as part of the new construction, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") agreed to supply underground electrical service to the East District Police Station; and
 
WHEREAS, in order to provide the electrical service, MG&E requested a ten (10) foot wide underground electric line easement ("Easement") across a portion of East District Police Station property; and
 
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Division has reviewed and approve of the Easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Utility Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
 
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of Lot 1, Block 18, Fourth Addition to Heritage Heights, lying in part of the SW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 11, Town 7 North, Range 10 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said easement being more particularly described as follows:
 
 
Commencing at the West corner of said Section 11; thence N54°23'15"E, 136.14 feet to the North right-of-way line  of Cottage Grove Road and the point of beginning; thence N13°25'35"E, 5.19 feet; thence N82°49'30"E, 389.55 feet; thence N01°57'20"W, 134.53 feet; thence S86°01'50"W, 125 feet to the point of termination.
