Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes the Golf Enterprise to enter into a 5-year contract with CardConnect specific to a Point of sale system to process all revenue-based transactions. Costs for the agreement are comprised of: a 2.4% service charge for credit card payments, $15 per month in reporting software, and a $1,650 one-time fee for each card reader ($13,200 across 8 total card readers). The estimated annual fees are anticipated to exceed $100,000 annually and will vary based on Golf's revenue. The Golf Enterprise's 2026 Adopted Operating Budget provides funding to cover all anticipated costs for this contract. Funding for future years will be requested in future budget cycles. No additional appropriation is required.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign a service contract with CardConnect, LLC a business unit of First Data Merchant Services, LLC (Fiserv) to process credit card transactions to accept credit card payments at City golf courses. (District 11, District 13, District 15, District 16)

WHEREAS, the Parks Division issued an RFP to select a new point of sale system for the City’s golf courses and Club Caddie Holdings, Inc. was selected as a result of the RFP; and
WHEREAS, point of sale systems require a PCI-compliant merchant credit card processing company to provide the credit card readers and terminals, process credit card transactions and deposit the money that Golf customers pay by credit card into the City’s bank account; and
WHEREAS, Club Caddie uses CardConnect, LLC a business unit of First Data Merchant Services, LLC (Fiserv) as the merchant credit card processor for their point of sale system and this requires the City to sign a Merchant Processing Application and Agreement with Fiserv; and
WHEREAS, Fiserv’s fees to process credit card payments, as negotiated through Club Caddie, will be as follows:
