DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS:    This ordinance rezones 222 and 230 Merry Street from TR-U2 (Traditional Residential - Urban 2) District to TR-U1 (Traditional Residential - Urban 1) District consistent with land use recommendations in the Comprehensive Plan.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

 

                     1.                     Map Amendment 00564 of Section 28.022 of the Madison General Ordinances is created to read as follows:

 

“The following described property is hereby rezoned to TR-U1 (Traditional Residential - Urban 1) District:

 

Lots 3 and 4, Block 1, Monona Subdivision, except the southwesternmost 50 feet acquired for Yahara Parkway by Document No. 0252682, recorded in Volume 19 of Miscellaneous, Pages 65-67, on June 15, 1903; AND part of Lot 2, Block 1, Monona Subdivision, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the easternmost corner of said Lot 2; thence S45°34’00”W, 214.14 feet along the southeasterly line of said Lot 2; thence N78°19’57” 64.76 feet; thence N45°34’00”E, 249.8 feet, more or less, along the northwesterly line of said Lot 2 to the southwesterly right of way of Merry Street; thence S45°00’00”E along said right of way line, 53.8 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said described area contains 40,269 square feet (0.92 acres), more or less.”
