Public Health Madison & Dane County (Public Health) seeks authorization for the Environmental Health Program to accept funds of $976.00 from State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) for Regional Radon Information Centers.
In 2026, Public Health received grant funds from DHS for Regional Radon Information Centers. Regional Radon Information Centers have been established by DHS as a means to provide all counties in Wisconsin access to subject matter experts in indoor radon exposure. The South-Central Radon Information Center Serves Dane, Green, and Rock Counties and is housed in Public Health Madison & Dane County’s Environmental Health Division. In 2026, Public Health received grant funds to support this work in providing education and technical assistance in the indoor radon program to residents.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison & Dane County hereby authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to apply, sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and amend the 2026 Public Health Budget by $976.00.
