Naming Lake Rescue Air Boat of the City of Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team carry the name "Yapper" in honor of Lieutenant (Ret.) Craig H Yapp.

Body

WHEREAS, the Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team is a vital part of emergency service delivery to the City of Madison since 1983; and,

WHEREAS, the members of the Madison Fire Department continue to provide quality lake rescue service to the City of Madison; and,

WHEREAS, Lieutenant (Ret.) Craig H Yapp served the City of Madison for 24 years; from March 1982 to March 2006; and,

WHEREAS, Lieutenant (Ret.) Craig H Yapp played a critical role in the leadership and development of the Lake Rescue Team from its inception in 1983; and,

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Madison recognize the Midwest Air Boat as a vital tool to the current Lake Rescue Team,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lake Rescue Air Boat of the City of Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team carry the name "Yapper" in honor of Lieutenant (Ret.) Craig H Yapp.
