DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: This amendment rezones property located at 1801 East Washington Avenue from IL (Industrial Limited) District to TE (Traditional Employment) District to allow demolition of a building materials supply facility to construct a mixed-use building with a 20,000 square foot commercial space and 230 apartments in Urban Design District 8.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

Map Amendment 00217 of Section 28.022 of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby created to read as follows:

"28.022-00217. The following described property is hereby rezoned to TE (Traditional Employment) District:

Part of Lots 1, 7 thru 8, 18 thru 21, 28, and all of Lots 2 thru 6, and 22 thru 27, in Block 275, Farwell's Replat and Addition, being a part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6 and the Northwest 1/4 and Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 7, Township 7 North, Range 10 East, in the City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, bounded and described as follows:

COMMENCING at the Northwest corner of said Northwest 1/4 Section; thence South 89°56'03” East along the North line of said 1/4 Section 988.40 feet to a point on the East line of East Washington Avenue; thence South 45°58'04” West along said East line 23.15 feet to the point of beginning of lands to be described; thence South 44°01'56” East 90.00 feet to a point; thence North 45°58'04” East 110.00 feet to a point; thence South 44°01'56” East 121.57 feet to a point; thence Northeasterly 152.50 feet along the arc of a curve whose center lies to the Southeast, whose radius is 3...
