Body
PREAMBLE
Early in 2007, a group of Tenney Park supporters proposed replacing the current Tenney Park shelter with a new, larger multipurpose shelter that would better serve the needs of the community. The City budgeted for the project in its 2009 Capital Budget funded with $500,000 of GO debt and $700,000 of donated funds. The design process in 2008 included the neighborhood, and the Board of Park Commissioners, Landmarks and Urban Design Commissions. To date, the architectural services have been performed by Plunkett Raysich Architects, with their fees being paid by private sources. To complete the shelter construction project scheduled for 2009 as a Public Works Project, the architect should be under contract to the City, and can be paid out of the 2009 budgeted amount.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a contract with Plunkett Raysich Architects for plans, specifications, bidding, and construction administration to complete the Tenney Park Shelter Project.
BE IT FUERTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an amended agreement or a new agreement with Plunkett Raysich Architects as the Design team fort the improvements, in an amount not to exceed an additional one hundred ten thousand dollars ($110,000).
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED That all such agreements shall be in a form approved by the Risk Manager and the City Attorney.
