Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2016 capital budget Engineering - Major Streets has budgeted $165,000 for the Buckeye Road reconstruction project from Monona Drive to Stoughton Road (MUNIS 10228). The funding budgeted for 2016 is sufficient for the planned costs that are associated with the initial project phases under this proposed agreement; 2016 funding is provided by GO borrowing. The scope of the project’s out-years is sufficiently planned in the 2016 adopted CIP for the specified work and external funding sources that will be provided via authorization of the proposed agreement.
The proposed resolution authorizes the agreement with an estimated local cost in 2016 of $60,000.

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison is proposing to reconstruct Buckeye Road (CTH AB) from Monona Drive to Stoughton Road.
The project will be constructed under a contract let by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and a project Agreement with WisDOT is required for funding, oversight and construction. The proposed project is planned for construction in the year 2019.
The City of Madison entered into an agreement with WisDOT on April 9, 2015, authorized by RES-15-00258, File ID 37502. A revised agreement is required to include updated construction costs for street, sanitary and water.
The City of Madison and WisDOT propose to enter into an amended agreement for construction and cost sharing of the proposed project. The basis for cost sharing participation is as follows:
1) Design Engineering: All design-engineering costs necessitated by the street reconstruction are 100% Local Funding.
