Fiscal Note

This is an extension of a previous agreement and provides for the reimbursement by St. Mary's Hospital of all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to St. Mary's Hospital employees during the term of the agreement. Two years ago, the contract started in February.  This 11-month contract term will allow the contract to be in sync with the calendar year and with future dates for implementation of rate changes. Trips will be billed at rates consistent with the current TPC-approved fare tariff. Revenues are expected to be approximately $20,000 and will be included in the Transit Utility 2007 operating budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center for the continuation of provision of free access by its employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for employee trips for the period February 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007.    

Body

WHEREAS, St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center and Metro Transit wish to continue an Unlimited Ride Pass Program for St. Mary's based on principles approved by the Madison Transit and Parking Commission for such agreements;

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center for the purpose of providing a St. Mary's Unlimited Ride Pass Program for the period of February 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007, with reimbursement by St. Mary's Hospital for all trips taken during the term of the agreement.
