Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Gas Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of a City Engineering storm water retention parcel located at 1729 Sawtooth Lane.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Division maintains a storm water retention parcel (the "City Parcel"), described as Outlot 5 Southern Ridge Plat, and addressed at 1729 Sawtooth Lane; and
WHEREAS, said City Parcel is located adjacent to a private property owned by Joel Wischhoff, at 1802 South High Point Road (the "Wischhoff Parcel"); and
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") has been asked to install underground gas service to the Wischhoff Parcel, and as a result have requested an underground gas line easement, across a portion of the City Parcel, for their underground gas line facilities; and
WHEREAS, City Engineering Division and Office of Real Estate Services staff has reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Gas Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the City Engineering storm water retention parcel located at 1729 Sawtooth Lane, legally described as follows:
A strip of land, six (6) feet in width, located in Outlot 5, Southern Ridge Plat, lying in part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Town 7 North, Range 8 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, said strip being more particularly described as follows:
The Northeasterly six (6) feet of said Outlot 5, Southern Ridge Plat.
