Approving the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Brooks Street and Johnson Street. (8th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the Pedestrian, Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission on November 25, 2008, recommended installation of a traffic signal at Brooks Street and Johnson Street; and
WHEREAS, traffic signal control at the Brooks Street and Johnson Street intersection will be desirable to accommodate traffic detoured by the closing of Brooks Street at University Avenue during part of the University Avenue repaving project; and
WHEREAS, following the University Avenue repaving project, traffic signal control at the Brooks Street and Johnson Street intersection will be helpful for all modes of traffic crossing or entering Johnson Street from Brooks Street;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Traffic Engineering Division shall proceed to install a traffic signal at the Brooks Street and Johnson Street intersection.
