Authorizing the execution of a Utility Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a City-owned property located at 207 West Olin Avenue. 13th Ald. Dist.
Body
WHEREAS, the City constructed the new public pool facility, named the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Swimming Pool, along West Olin Avenue in 2006; and
WHEREAS, as part of the Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Swimming Pool project, Madison Gas and Electric Company was requested by the City to provide underground and overhead electrical service to the new pool facility; and
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company has requested a ten foot wide utility easement ("Easement") across a City-owned property located at 207 West Olin Avenue; in order to place overhead and underground electrical lines for the new pool facility; and
WHEREAS, the City Parks Division has reviewed and approves of the Easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Utility Easement with Madison Gas and Electric Company for the Easement described as follows:
Five strips of land, ten(10) feet in width, four being underground electric easement strips and one being an electric pole line easement strip, located in part of the E1/2 of Section 26, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline if the first said 10-foot-wide underground electric easement strip being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 8, Maple Court Plat, Document No. 213378; thence S58°34'40"E, 666.56 feet to the point of beginning; thence S26°36'18"W, 96.93 feet; thence S23°25'00"W, 126.62 feet; thence S16°23'58"W, 205.36 feet; thence S11°17'30"W, 49.69 feet to a Point "A", thence S08°08'06"W, 12 feet to the point of termination.
