Amending Section 3.60(2) of the Madison General Ordinances to permit that the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award may be presented to non-City of Madison residents.
Body
The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
 
      Subsection (1) of Section 3.60 entitled "Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award" is amended to read as follows:
 
"(1)      There is created the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award or Awards to be presented annually to the person or persons Madison citizens who have made outstanding and significant contributions in the spirit of sisterhood, brotherhood, and harmony toward making our City an ideal place in which to live. The award or awards shall be presented at the annual celebration of the birth of Dr. King."
