Title
Board of Health for Madison & Dane County Resolution #2021-23 Congratulating Steve Reese on His Retirement and Thanking Him for 5 Years of Dedicated and Exemplary Service
Body
Steve has worked in the Public Health Madison & Dane County Department, over the years as a clerk I-II and ends his career as the Clerk III supporting the lab, licensed establishments, open records and agency administration. He started his full-time employment with the Public Health Madison & Dane County on November 14, 2016 as a clerk I-II in the Environmental Health division. During his tenure, Steve has supported the Board of Health, contract routing, and the completion of over 160 open records requests. For new staff Steve was often one of the first PHMDC team members they met. He provided an administrative orientation, giving new employees a go-to person for any and all questions.
An invaluable wealth of knowledge, Steve was always available with the right answer and a subtle quip that left you giggling if you caught it. Unfortunately he will not be around for Public Health Madison & Dane County’s work post-Covid, and his last day working will be December 3, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on Behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County hereby expresses their deep appreciation to Steve Reese for his years of dedicated service and contributions to the City of Madison and County of Dane. The Board and PHMDC wish him well in his retirement as he spends more time with his dog Chase, working on home projects, traveling, and spending time with his family.
