Commending, honoring and expressing thanks and appreciation to Patricia Kreitzman, Program Assistant III, upon her retirement from City service.
Body
WHEREAS, Pat Kreitzman is retiring on January 4, 2008 after 34 years of service to the City of Madison. Pat began her career as a Clerk Steno 1 for the Zoning Department on January 2, 1974. In 1978 she moved to doing payroll, purchasing and personnel work. Her job was reclassed to Administrative Clerk 1 in 1984 and on February 11, 1996 she was promoted to Program Assistant III. From that date she also served as the Secretary to the Director of the Division.
WHEREAS, during Pat's service to the City she helped facilitate the conversion of property files from envelopes to color coded files to microfiche to our current document imaging system. Pat's career also spanned a time from when permits were entered in to a ledger through several computerized tracking systems.
WHEREAS, Pat's many duties include participation on the Aces Staff Team, working with the Housing Committee and Landlord & Tenant Issues Subcommittee; organizer of the annual Packers party, lead person for the Combined Campaign and Chairperson of the Payroll Users Group.
WHEREAS, Pat will be remembered as a dedicated public servant who by her actions demonstrated to other employees what it means to provide excellent customer service to our external as well as internal customers.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend, honor and express thanks and appreciation to Pat Kreitzman for her 34 years of service to the City of Madison and express sincere appreciation for her dedication to her work and that the Mayor and Common Council join all City employees in wishing Pat, and her husband Bill, happiness and good fortune in the future.
