Chris Homburg appealing MGO 34.20. The rule requires that the building be within 500 feet of two fire hydrants. The building is located in a quarry in an undeveloped part of Madison. The variance requested is to rebuild a structure that burned without the hydrants because water is not available at this time. The new 3,360 sq. ft. structure will be built with concrete walls and a precast roof to be more fire resistant.
