The proposed resolution authorizes the execution of an underground electric easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company (MG&E) across a portion of City of Madison greenway. No City appropriation is required.

Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company (“MG&E”) is upgrading certain facilities located in the vicinity of the City of Madison greenway at 6715 Mineral Point Road; and
WHEREAS, MG&E has requested an Underground Electric Easement to be located at the northwest corner of said greenway parcel; and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Engineering and Real Estate staff have reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the City of Madison Greenway located at 6715 Mineral Point Road, legally described as follows:
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the NW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 25, T7N-R8E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, said strip being more particularly described as follows:
The northerly 10 feet of the westerly 35 feet of a parcel described in a warranty deed signed December 27, 1965, and recorded December 28, 1965, in Volume 811, on Pages 429-431 of Records at the Dane County Register of Deeds Office as document No. 1150707. Said strip is depicted on attached Exhibit A.
